Designed from the start to be an open top vehicle, no additional reinforcements were required for the new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray convertible. The fully electronic drop top can be lowered with the press of a button or remotely using the key fob even while driving at speeds up to 150 mph. Using this innovative hands-free latching, the top hides beneath a  body-colored tonneau cover behind the seats.

The cockpit features of the  Corvette E-Ray is sweeping free form lines, authentic materials, and intuitive instruments, including two 8 inches diagonal LCD screens an available head-up display that projects data into your line of sight. Edge-lit LED turn signals are framed in black chrome housing. High mounted stop lamp is mounted in the aerodynamic rear spoiler. The heart of E-Ray is its 6.2 L LT1 V8 engine boasts up to an available estimated 460 horsepower and an available 465 lb-ft of torque  while achieving a 0-60 time of 2.95 seconds. A distinctive rear transaxle layout achieves optimal weight balance. Compact engine design lowers the hood line and vehicle center of gravity and a dry sump oil system included with the Z51 performance package, delivers oil flow through G-force cornering. It’s a four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine to produce a high-performance sports car capable of around 30-40 miles of all-electric range alongside a combined gasoline + electric range of 400+ miles per fill.
